George Krommydas is a renowned jazz guitarist with over 15 years of experience in the vibrant Athens jazz scene.
He has had the honor of performing alongside some of the most illustrious musicians in the industry, showcasing his exceptional talent and deep understanding of jazz music.
George is not only a celebrated performer but also a highly respected educator. He teaches at the prestigious Philippos Nakas Conservatory, an institution affiliated with the Berklee College of Music.
Over the years, he has mentored a new generation of modern guitarists, significantly shaping the contemporary jazz landscape in Athens.
With a commitment to both his craft and his students, George Krommydas continues to inspire and influence the world of jazz, blending tradition with innovation in every note he plays and every lesson he imparts.

George Krommydas, a distinguished figure in the Athenian jazz scene, has released four studio albums to date. His work features collaborations with renowned jazz musicians such as Takis Paterelis, George Kontrafouris, Giannis Papadopoulos, Ntinos Manos, Dimitris Klonis, Markos Chaidemenos, Periklis Trivolis, and Christos Asonitis.
George’s musical style spans the spectrum from traditional to modern jazz, showcasing his versatility and deep appreciation for the genre.
He is a vibrant presence in the Athens jazz scene, actively participating in some of Greece’s most prestigious jazz festivals, including the Technopolis Jazz Festival, Tinos Jazz Festival, and Petit Paris d’Athenes.
